Do you know how much electricity of your LED display screen need to pay?
Here let me share you that How much electricity cost do we need to pay for our LED display?
The quantity of power supply is the most important factor. Usually 5000-8000nits for outdoor and 600-1200nits.
Base on 5000-8000nits brightness requirement for outdoor, the 5V60A power supply will be selected.
50 SQM P10 outdoor LED screen, cabinet size 960x960mm(320*160mm module), and the electric current of each module is 10A. So there are 3pcs 300W power supply each one cabinet, the total max power consumption is 900W for a cabinet. 50 SQM P10 consist of 50 piece cabinets. Then the total max power consumption of this LED display is 45KW. The formula as below:
MAX consumption: 50pcs cabinet x 3pcs 300W = 45000W.
AVG consumption: 45000W/3=15000W.
The power consumption of LED display screen depends on the brightness level. The maximum power consumption only occurs when the display screen is playing video on a white background, namely it is a theoretical value. Thus, the electricity cost usually be measured with the AVG consumption.
If this screen work 10 hours a day and we assume the electricity cost is 0.2 USD/KW. So the electricity cost will be as below
Total power consumption: 45KW
Working hours per day: 10 hours
Electricity per kilowatt: 0.2 USD/KW
Theoretical cost: 45 KW x 10 hours x 0.2USD/KW = 90 USD/day.
The actual electricity cost will be
15KW x 10 hours x 0.2 USD/KW=30USD/day.
Base on 600-1200nits brightness requirement for indoor, the 5V40A power supply will be selected.
50 SQM P3 outdoor LED screen, cabinet size 960x960mm(192*192mm module), and the electric current of each module is 7A. So there are 4pcs 200W power supply each one cabinet, the total max power consumption is 800W for a cabinet. 50 SQM P3 consist of 50 piece cabinets. Then the total max power consumption of this LED display is 40KW. The formula as below:
MAX consumption: 50pcs cabinet x 3pcs 300W = 40000W.
AVG consumption: 40000W/3=13000W.
As the above calculation, the electricity cost of indoor LED screen as below:
Total power consumption: 40KW
Working hours per day: 10 hours
Electricity per kilowatt: 0.2 USD/KW
Theoretical cost: 40 KW x 10 hours x 0.2USD/KW = 80 USD/day.
The actual electricity cost will be
13KW x 10 hours x 0.2 USD/KW=26 USD/day.
